I assume it will get into the next release. In the meantime you should be able to modify the static.py file in your StarCluster code and add g2.8xlarge in two places:

1. INSTANCE_TYPES
2. CLUSTER_GPU_TYPES

starcluster: error: invalid instance type.
any plans to support?
