remove nodes are so slow

Hi folks,

I´m running a big cluster of 80 servers. The master is a running server.
When the jobs are ending, I start to remove the idle nodes.
The process of remove nodes from starcluster is taking about 40 minutes per
node. It takes a while when it reaches:
>>> Removing node022 from known_hosts files
>>> Removing node022 from /etc/hosts

Any hints for speeding up this?
