Hi Rayson,
I finally managed to fire up a VM in my local KVM (not in OpenStack), just want to see how it works.
But I don't know the password for ubuntu user or root user, so I can't log in still.
I see in the image that there is cloud-init. Do you use that to set passwords?
Or there is a default password?

Hi Rayson,
Thanks a lot for the information.
I have successfully downloaded the images, but I am not sure how to use
them.
Do you think I can load them into OpenStack without any changes?
They are ISO images, so you will need to convert them from ISO to KVM
(or Xen) image format. Also, OpenStack does not have its own VMM, so
if you are using KVM/QEMU (IIRC, KVM is the kernel part, so it's QEMU
that reads the image), then you will need to find the a way to convert
the ISOs to a format that KVM/QEMU uses.

I am also trying to launch a VM from the image in KVM but not much luck.
Do you know how to fire up a VM from the image?
Is there a document you could probably point me to?

Given that openstack has an ec2-like interface, I wonder if I can use
start cluster with openstack?
See:
http://www.cybera.ca/tech-radar/making-starcluster-work-with-openstack
Also you have put some images into ec2 for star cluster to fire up VMs.
Those images seem to have SGE pre-installed, don't they?
The AMIs have SGE loaded, and the starcluster command runs setup every
time you launch a cluster.
Can I download the images from somewhere so I can put them into our
openstack image repository?
