StarCluster AMI creation vs AMI creation through AWS Console

Hi,

I usually "baked" my AWS AMIs using the console, and maybe 1% I do it using
AWS CLI.

Is there a reason I should use the StarCluster AMI creation capability
instead of the using the AWS Console? I mean am I missing some important
step if I dont use StarCluster for this task?
