What is the good number of EC2 Instants for a one cluster

Hi All

This is my first time using a starcluster.
I would like to run a open mpi program, on the High perform EC2 instance.

Is it possible run it on 100 EC2 instance? or more?
If not, what is the reasonable number of the instances for a cluster?

What should I careful to run for the first run of mpi?
