Yea this is pretty exciting stuff, I'll certainly be looking to get the
support
into StarCluster. As Dan pointed out there are some details to be worked out
before this instance type can be used; it's not as simple as just specifying
the instance type in the config.
Another issue besides the "Cluster placement groups" that Dan mentioned
is that
you also *have* to use EBS-backed instances AND the EBS-backed AMI has to be a
HVM (Hardware Virtualized Machine) EBS AMI.

Hahaha :P I'll certainly get to this but when is a good question. If someone
wants to experiment with using this new HPC instance types with
StarCluster I'd
love to get the feedback and any code contributions.
