openmpi libraries in starcluster AMIs

Hello,

I am rather new to using starcluster and openmpi, but in attempting to
customize an ami to run some mpi software that runs just fine on a local
machine (with the same version of ubuntu) I am running into library issues.

The software I want to run depends on libmpi_f77.so.1 (which as far as I
know is a standard part of the openmpi package), but it does not seem to be
found anywhere on the local system. On the other hand, libmpi_f77.so.0 is
found at /usr/lib/libmpi_f77.so.0 in the directory structure. The non-mpi
version of the software I installed seems to work just fine, both locally
and from the aws server I start.

Any suggestions or commends would be greatly appreciated.
