I just created a new keypair with:

$ starcluster createkey starcluster -o .ssh/starcluster

And it works...

The previous keypair was created with:

$ starcluster createkey starcluster.rsa -o .ssh/starcluster.rsa

It might be the case that the ".rsa" either in the keypair name or in
the local filename was causing the issue. I have no idea why.
Apparently paramiko had no trouble using it by the native ssh command
failed for some reason.
