Autocreate an NFS mounted volume at time of cluster launch

Hello,
I see in the star cluster documentation how to auto mount and NFS mount an existing volume. Is there a way to auto create/format/mount a new volume of a certain size when you launch a new cluster? I do not need persistent storage, but having a large shared space for my cluster that exists for the duration of that cluster would be very useful. Basically I would also be downloading items from S3 at the time of cluster boot up and storing them in that shared-space. The items would probably be ~10-20Gb which is too large for the default shared /home which is part of the root directory on the master node, it looks like there is about 6Gb free on that filesystem.

Thanks for your time!

Best,
John
