Nicolas,

Is it just stalling when attaching an EBS volume? Have you checked with
ElasticFox to see if the volume ever gets attached status (or if its status
changes at all)?

Also, try running starcluster with the debug flag. That should show you the
response from Amazon when attempting to attach the EBS volume (and other
verbose output).
